murugu: India; My name is Murukanandam.v (murugu).I was born in a historical city of southern India on June 28’Th, 1979.From an early age, I was deeply fascinated by my surroundings and the beauty of a nature. I loved to play with clay and experiment with different colors. Impressed by my paintings and art work, my father decided to send me to the Govt.college of fine arts in kumbakonam to do my B.F.A (Bachelor of Fine Arts).With the immense encouragement of my parents and my teachers. My career in art bloomed to what it is today.I do all kinds of paintings such as oil, knife and acrylic paintings and sculpture. Paintings done in water color being my specialty. Other than that I also do pencil sketching. Some of my awards include the “Bard Fest Inter-college Cultural Convergence”, by Bharadhidasan University, Trichy. In 2005. Some of my group shows include the National Day Art Exhibit” Alain, UAE, Heritage (Ethurath) in 2009. The “Indo-Arab Creative Art Festival” in 2009 held in Charkha Heritage museum, U.A.E. In 2010 the “Dubai Shopping Festival”, Dubai, U.A.E (10 meter - biggest painting) and in 2010 Art Exhibit Al Ain, U.A.E.
